Hillcrest Church of Christ

I worked as the Youth Ministry Intern at Hillcrest Church of Christ two separate summers while studying at Freed-Hardeman University. Alongside my ministry responsibilities, I redesigned the website, launched a YouTube channel, posted hundreds of sermon videos, and transitioned their services to live video streaming.

Since then, the site has been migrated to the Cornerstone platform I built — giving the congregation a modern, easy-to-manage digital presence without requiring technical expertise.

Attendance Tracking

I also built a small automation to replace their manual Sunday attendance process. Two Google Forms — one for members, one for guests — each trigger an Apps Script on submission. The script finds or creates a spreadsheet named for that Sunday (Hillcrest-Attendance-YYYY-MM-DD) in a shared Drive folder, then appends the response to the appropriate sheet. Members log their name and any prayer requests; guests log their name, phone number, and address. The date dropdown on each form auto-populates with the three closest Sundays every time it’s opened, so there’s nothing to configure week to week. The whole thing runs for free inside Google Workspace and requires no maintenance.

Graphic Design

Beyond the website, I’ve continued doing graphic design work for the church over the years — logos, t-shirt graphics, sticker designs, and book covers.
