Experience

My role as a Software Engineer II at Clear Function provided more lead opportunities and expanded my previous responsibilities. I continued in various .NET client work, AI experimentation, and the lead of full-stack development of multitenanted PHP Laravel applications and iOS and Android mobile apps. Furthermore, I developed Pulumi IaC scripts in TypeScript to generate multi-environment cloud infrastructures in AWS and Azure and GitHub actions for custom CI/CD pipelines.

Some of my personally favorite work involved building new and iterating on existing frontend applications in ReactJS and NextJS. I'm always excited when I have the opportunity to blend my skill sets of design and development.

As a full-time Software Engineer at Clear Function, I was introduced to the necessity of learning time-management and task switching. I was given the opportunity to work on anywhere from 2-5 client or internal projects at any time. I specifically gained knowledge and experience by spending the majority of my time working in .NET applications, migrating, re-writing, or building new microservices and APIs. Additionally, I spearheaded various AI experimentation efforts -- most notably, data extraction of various mediums through APIs using background job processing, RAG (retrieval augmented generation) techniques for querying internal data, and prompt optimization. One of my largest responsibilities included the lead development effort in a multitenanted PHP Laravel application, Apache Cordova iOS and Android mobile apps.

As a Software Development Intern at Clear Function, I developed a Microsoft Excel Add-in with a ReactJS/TypeScript frontend and a .NET API, enabling efficient batch processing of large datasets. Working closely with team members, I gained hands-on experience in full-stack development and cloud infrastructure, contributing to a tool that enhanced client productivity within Microsoft Excel. The relationships and coaching I received that summer from first-class teammates in the office have been invaluable to my career.

Work under the University’s Office of Admissions to connect and engage with prospective students. I would give campus tours, travel to various recruiting events, and complete other work as needed.

My roll was to assist the youth minister in planning events, teaching Bible classes, and encouraging kids. I also preached part-time, redesigned and operated the website, YouTube channel, and started a live video streaming service.

A double major in Computer Science and Interactive Digital Design with an emphasis in Software Development. FHU has played a pivotal role in my learning and growth as a person. FHU is a fantastic school with amazing people that care deeply about the students.
